A client of an accounting firm was frustrated with both the cost and capability of their current bookkeeping function. After some detailed discussions regarding potential options, it was decided to outsource the bookkeeping to an overseas provider and use the savings from the reduced costs to have the accounting firm provide some more value added management reporting.
DSI Advisory assisted with the human resource issues regarding the conversation with the existing bookkeeper and the support required before and after this conversation. An external bookkeeping firm with overseas processing capabilities was engaged and supported to take the general bookkeeping processes forward at a price below the previous full time bookkeeping cost. The accounting firm then was able to work with a new cloud based software system to directly access the clients accounting system and start preparing some cash flow forecasts and provide a quarterly review of the clients financial performance.
